PK NOTE: Tomorrow, we will publish the epic "Life of Black People in Chicago" -- the definitive history, nay, the ultimate account of the black contribution to the Second City. It is our gift to you during this most auspicious of Black History Month's.

The ongoing Hadiya Pendleton saga took a hilariously expected turn today, with the Chicago Tribune reporting one of the families of the two black gang members accused in the killing of the 15-year-old 'honor student' was said their boy was "a good kid"  [Family: Hadiya Pendleton slaying suspect 'good kid', Chicago Tribune, 2-13-13]:

The family of a reputed gang member charged with fatally shooting 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton in a South Side park last month said today that he is a “good kid” who has made some mistakes in the past but would not commit such a senseless murder.
After attending a brief hearing on the case in the Leighton Criminal Court Building, an aunt and cousin of accused gunman Michael Ward told reporters that they hoped the “truth will come out” about Ward, who they say has a young child of his own.
“He has made some mistakes in the past and we are not disputing any of that,” said his aunt, Janise Cooper, who denied Ward was a gang member. “But he is a loving son, father, and our family is torn apart, just like the young lady’s family is torn apart.”
Judge Donald Panarese Jr. scheduled a preliminary hearing for March 1 for Ward, 18, and co-defendant Kenneth Williams, 20. Both were ordered held without bond on Tuesday on charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm in the Jan. 29 attack that also left two teens wounded.
Ward was convicted early last year of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and was on probation at the time of the murder, according to prosecutors.
"The Good Kid" defense of indefensible acts of Spontaneous Blackness is the axiomatic reaction by the family when inquired by incredulous media as to why a black individual would engage in such acts of barbarism.

Never forget Hadiya Pendleton, a byproduct of the very black dysfunction that makes many cities across America - not just the South Side or black areas of Chicago - unlivable, is the face of President Obama's attempts to disarm all of America.

Recall that Ward told prosecutors he shot Pendleton because, "She was just standing there," and that Williams and he were merely engaging in a three-year war with a rival black gang because 'If we keep standing for this, we are going to be some straight bitches.'

Give up your guns... all because of black dysfunction, which not only makes Chicago a dangerous place to live, but threatens to impede on your constitutional liberties those "old dead white men" who made America left to you.
The Chris Dorner Saga should star OJ Simpson when it's turned into a film

The story of Chris Dorner and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) manhunt for this cop-killer has been one better suited for the pages of other sites. His manifesto wasn't terribly interesting, and the reaction by the media - as Steve Sailer so ably noted - was comparable to Omar Thornton's favorable press in the wake of the eight or nine dead white guys at hand.

But the other day I watched the old Naked Gun trilogy on Netflix and couldn't stop laughing when seeing Dorner as the perfect candidate to play the OJ Simpson character, Detective Nordberg.

Sure, the Naked Gun is just a comedy and OJ Simpson was still one of America's favorite retired black football players when they came out; but doesn't the whole situation surrounding the Chris Dorner saga have the feel of a Leslie Nielsen gag?

You keep waiting and waiting to find out the story is just a joke, that surely the world couldn't have come to something like this -- where the left and black people would cheer on Dorner as he eluded the authorities and the New York Times dared publish an article that called for the investigation of the racism in the LAPD he cited in his rambling manifesto as a reason for his actions.

Someone please roll the credits already, right?

Just as black people openly celebrated OJ Simpson's acquittal, you have to wonder how many blacks secretly lament Dorner's demise.

Oh well, it won't be long now until we hear his mother resort to that apropos defense of her son -- "he was a good kid."
