SK Energy: With one sip, you go from wimpy white to bad ass Black (listen to the ad)
Perhaps you've heard of 50 Cent: A drug dealer who was shot nine teams in a deal gone bad in 2000, he turned into a prominent rapper, entertainer and entrepreneur. Basically, your average definition of a pillar of the Black community.

In fact, noticing the popularity of Monster, Rock Star, and Red Bull, he started a company called SK Energy (the "SK" stands for Street King) in altruistic bid to give back to Africans who are woefully incapable of providing sustenance for themselves:
As both a massively successful artist and a survivor of a harsh childhood, 50 Cent found himself compelled to use his success to help others in need.
A trip to the World Cup in Africa opened his eyes to rampant poverty and hunger across the continent. Back home, 50 and his trusted manager Chris Lighty began brainstorming ways he could help kids born with the odds stacked against them.
They immediately thought of Chris Clarke, the entrepreneur behind Pure Growth Partners. PGP’s revolutionary mission is to find and create sustainable brands using a “one for one” give-back that donate directly to the world’s most compelling charities. The goal is to give back far beyond the scope of traditional organizations today and inspire businesses for the future.
Together, they conceived a product that perfectly fit 50′s driven persona and their mutual desire to make a difference: SK Energy Shots.
SK provides powerful, pure energy — the type of energy that both 50 and Chris Clarke credit with being crucial to their successes. And, the type of energy that is crucial for changing the world. With 50s experience in Vitamin Water and Chris Clarke’s experience building and marketing the world’s most powerful brands, the combination was unstoppable.
Through our partnership with the UN World Food Program, every SK Energy shot sold provides a meal to a hungry child. The goal is to provide a billion meals over the next 5 years to the world’s neediest children. That’s why SK stands for Street King, to give ruling the streets a whole new meaning.

The other day, while driving in my car, I thought my ears deceived me when I heard my first advertisement for Mr. 50 Cent's SK Energy drink. Something about a wimpy "white man's voice" magically being, to borrow a phrase from Toure, 'niggerificationized' to that of the proud voice of a Black man with but a sip of the SK Energy drink.

Noticing that this was a far cry from the comment uttered in the upcoming films Django Unchained trailer - "Kill white folks, and they pay you for it? What's not to like?" - I did a quick Google search to verify that what my ears had heard regarding the SK Energy drinks magically powers of turning a boring old (wimpy) white dude into a Black person were true.

Here's what I found:
**wimpy white man’s voice*“I used to have a deep tone of voice that drove the ladies crazy. But now I just have this white man’s voice”**the sound of slurping a drink***now using 50 cent’s real voice*“Now with my SK energy drink, I can be myself, and party with the ladies- without feeling jittery or nervous from too much caffeine”
A wimpy looking white guy named Steve Gill of The Steve Gill Show posted this:
Is this racist? My energy drink makes be black and cooler than a white guy?!?! If the ad was reversed, and drinking an energy drink made you white and smarter you would hear outrage and cries of racism from the mainstream media and NAACP wouldn’t you? Double standard?
Here's the audio of the commercial. Hear for yourself what I heard on a top radio station yesterday. Yes, the commercial states... "but now you just sound like a white dude."

We already know that in an Absolut world, we'd all want to be like Kanye West. In Quentin Tarantino's new film Django Unchained, we know that "killing white folks"is an admirable, worthwhile pursuit.

We now know that white people have wimpy voices that can only be rectified by sipping SK Energy (Street King Energy for the uninitiated... but we are initiated, members of the SBPDL community) to instantly become 50 Cent, a rapper/entrepreneur that is proficient in throwing down with the shorties and macking on hood rats.

You can email SK Energy or even call them, letting them hear your "wimpy white voice" by consulting this paragraph from their Web site:
