Followers of the extraordinary career of comedian Daniel Tosh since he started his Comedy Central TV show Tosh.0, know just how funny. Tosh, a gangly white 36-year-old Floridian, is easily the hottest comedian in America right now.

His Tosh.0 replaced The Daily Show and The Colbert Report as the highest rated non-cartoon program on Comedy Central in 2010 and hasn’t looked back since. [New Comedy Central star outdraws Stewart, Colbert, By James Hibberd, Reuters, July 12, 2010]The reason is simple: Tosh invites his viewers, watching safely on their own televisions, to enjoy jokes so verboten that they cannot be repeated in public without bringing on the flashmobs and the diversity commissars.

Racial jokes strike a chord for a reason. Were the jokes Tosh.0 not based in some truth, they wouldn’t be funny, he wouldn’t be attracting millions of viewers, people wouldn’t be flocking to his live shows, and his net worth wouldn’t be nearing eight digits. They would merely be seen as mean and silly.

And laughing at these jokes is a subtle form of protest. Through the medium of comedy, Daniel Tosh has shown that there are tens of million of people who are skeptical of the Politically Correct culture now being imposed upon America.

For now, watching Tosh.0 is a therapeutic salve for this totalitarian culture’s increasingly onerous demands. Who knows how long he’ll survive.

But it’s only comedy, right?

Here's a some more on Tosh and fellow comedians like Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle.

But looking at the videos of savagery that Black people willingly upload to WSHH (many of these videos include young Black males randomly attacking elderly Black people; packs of Black people attacking non-Blacks; and local news network broadcasts of strange behavior that can only be described as unmistakably Black pathologies), the viewer slowly begins to realize there is something fundamentally different between those engaging in barbaric behavior on WSHH and themselves.

Perhaps this is what Black comedian Chris Rock was alluding to in his infamous standup bit “niggas vs. Black people” (that was utilized to such hilarious perfection in the pilot episode of the immensely popular TV show The Office, when Steve Carrell’s character had the audacity to do the bit himself, drawing a visit from a diversity counselor) in that even Black people know that something is wrong with a significant portion of their population.

Rock has stopped performing that bit, because “"By the way, I've never done that joke again, ever, and I probably never will. 'Cause some people that were racist thought they had license to say nigger. So, I'm done with that routine.”

Problem Mr. Rock: your bit was only funny – and the bumbling Michael Scott from The Office performed the bit – because it’s true. If there wasn’t veracity in it, it would be considered malicious.

This was why David Chappelle stopped doing his popular Comedy Central show, The Chappelle Show: the audience failed to understand that Chappelle was lampooning racism, not condoning it or trying to perpetuate stereotypes.

Again, Chappelle skits were only funny because of the truth contained in them. Take for instance the story of the – in the words of Chris Rock – “Black Heaven” birthday party at the White House recently for Mein Obama himself. It reads like a skit that Chappelle would have done on his show when it aired on Comedy Central:

Chris Rock apparently doesn’t care whether he’s invited to President Obama’s next birthday party. The comedian used Obama’s 50th birthday bash as material for a surprise stand-up appearance at the Comedy Store club in Los Angeles this weekend. Saying he felt like “he died and went black heaven,” Rock shared a few details about the August birthday party, which was closed to the media. The informal barbecue at the White House was paid for by the Obamas, according to the Washington Post, and featured a celebrity-heavy guest list including Jay-Z, Tom Hanks and Whoopi Goldberg. While Rock called the party an “unbelievable experience,” he said the informal dress code made him feel like the late rapper “Jam Master Jay” at the White House. Rock also talked about standing with rapper-producer Jay-Z in the audience and watching singer-songwriter Stevie Wonder and pianist-composer Herbie Hancock perform together. “Me and Jay-Z looked at each other like, ‘Oh, hell no, we’re never going to do shows here,’” Rock said in the video of his club appearance. “The president is never going to go, ‘Yes, ‘Big Pimpin,’ how did you like that?’” Rock said, referring to a Jay-Z song. … “That’s never going to happen. Let’s just be glad we’re invited.”Rock went on to say that after Hancock and Wonder left the stage, the DJ slowly switched the tunes from the R&B group Kool & the Gang to funk innovator George Clinton and that the music got “blacker and blacker.” The most surreal portion of the night, Rock said, was the moment Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” started playing. At that point, Rock recalled that first daughters Malia, 13, and Sasha Obama, 10,”came out of nowhere … and started doing the dougie” dance. “Think about this [expletive] moment, a bunch of black people doing the [expletive] dougie in a house slaves made,” Rock, who turned 47 himself last month, said, laughing. When you watch your average video posted to WSHH, a crazy image of what this “Black Heaven” party at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue that Rock described pops into your mind. It’s the kind of image that confirms the very stereotypes Rock and Chappelle played upon to make millions.

It wouldn’t be funny, either, if it wasn’t true.

Tosh has made millions of dollars highlighting these videos – mind you, that Black people willingly upload to WSHH – on Tosh.0, which recently debuted its fourth season to massive numbers:

“Tosh.0” drew 3.1 million total viewers to its season premiere, along with a 2.3 adult 18-49 rating, 4.1 men 18-34 rating and a 4.6 men 18-24 rating. A huge hit with young men, “Tosh.0” was the #1 series in Prime on Tuesday night across all of television with men 18-34 and men 18-24, scoring the best rating among men 18-24 for any of the series’ season premieres.
