"Dredd" Warms up in the Bullpen: How to End Violence in Majority-Black Cities

The answer to the ending violence in majority-black areas?

How does one propose to deal with the crime problem in America, once and for all? How does one propose to make major cities safe and crime-free, while removing the backlog of cases that pile up in the justice system?

Why must we continue to live in fear of residing in the inner-city areas, knowing that to do so would require eternal vigilance in our every action (parking a car, going to the grocery store, meeting friends for dinner, walking the dog, etc.). Instead, commuting great distances to and from work is the order of the day, ceding formerly world-class cities to an underclass we are afraid to mention by name.

Why must we watch some of the most beautiful cities of the 20th century - Baltimore, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis, Birmingham, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, and others - devolve into debased degeneracy, nothing more than incubators for violence, gangs, and entitlement-fueled black growth -- all of which drives away outside capital investments (save HUD housing) and the type of families required for the creation and sustainability of communities.

What if a British spoof of American law-enforcement offered an answer to the problem? What if Judge Dredd offered the seeds for an effective strategy in creating order out of the chaos of 60 - 70 years of Disingenuous White Liberal (DWL) inaction on the question of how deal with criminality in America?

Back in 2005, Britain's top cop called for the granting of substantial powers to the police ['Judge Dredd' powers for police urged, The Telegraph, 9-22-2005] that would, undoubtedly, send chills down the spines of anyone listening to the Alex Jones Show, regular reader of Reason, LewRockwell.com, or true believer in the draconian notion of freedom (knowing that "freedom" is the reason for the current state of Detroit, Cleveland, Gary, and Newark):

Britain's top police officer was accused last night of paving the way for "Judge Dredd law" by proposing that officers should be allowed to by-pass the courts and confiscate driving licences, seize vehicles and issue anti-social behaviour orders on the spot.

The Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair said "modernisation" of the force should be carried forward by introducing "an escalator of powers" for the dispensing of instant justice.

"One idea is to have some police officers - paid more and with more powers - to impose an interim anti-social behaviour order, for instance, or suspend a driving licence," he said. This would have an immediate effect rather than waiting for intervention by the courts, Sir Ian suggested.

He acknowledged that giving police powers currently exercised only by the courts would be controversial but could be seen as legitimate if they were used by properly trained constables.

If you follow the law, you have nothing to worry about. But in what we have dubbed Black-Run America (BRA), the law-abiding population of a city like St. Louis has ceded power to the black population. Commerce and social trust die in these areas, and, in essence, they are no longer part of the United States. Case in point: East St. Louis, Illinois. At 97 percent black, East St. Louis is a far cry from an equivalent nearly all-white city.

In the all-white counterpart to East St. Louis, no one would have to lock their car doors or front doors at night, the parks and roadways would be free of litter, the business districts thriving, the schools unequaled, the police interested in only cracking down on teenagers speeding, and social capital in the community quite high.

Angered by the recent murders of four young people,  the mayor announced today that police are going to impose drastic new measurers to keep teens off the streets.
“There is something going on in the community at this point that we’ve got to safeguard them and keep them off the streets,” Mayor Alvin Parks said. “There are people shooting at each other for no reason whatsoever.”

Among the new rules:

**Minors are to be off the streets at ten o’clock on both weeknights and weekend nights.

**Minors on the street during school hours will be arrested on sight.

**Police will also perform I.D. checks on street corners and conduct gun searches, and Parks says he won’t hesitate to call in the National Guard if the spike in violence continues.

“The loiterers will be arrested, not warned, but arrested. Those who are hanging out at 11th and Bond, 15th and Lynch, 38th and Waverly, wherever you happen to be, if you are loitering, you will be arrested.”

Surrounded by police, Parks announced they also plan to arrest adult males and young men wearing gang colors, amounting to a city-wide dress code.

“No royal blue, no bright red to be worn by our men or our boys in this community,” Parks said. “Why is that? Those colors have long been affiliated with gang kinds of affiliations”

Asked about Constitutional concerns, and the need for probable cause, Parks says the recent wave of crime is the probable cause and justifies the extreme new measures.

“Vehicles that are moving will be stopped and searched for guns, weapons, drugs, and open alcohol and any other violations that are taking place,” Parks later told KMOX’s Mark Reardon. “People who are walking, people who are bicycling, can be stopped and searched for the same and, when it comes to state IDs, we’re going to be confirming that state IDs are in place for everyone involved.”

 Constitutional concerns? When you don't even have a community, what does the Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, Constitution, or - hell- the Articles of Confederation matter? Is East St. Louis not a manifestation of the atomistic, individualized, state that libertarians dream of -- minus the police-state measures to ensure the safety of the 99 percent black civilians?

Civilization doesn't exist in East St. Louis. It doesn't exist in Camden either (45 percent black, 43 percent Hispanic, 5 percent white), where the population is incapable of producing the required wealth it takes to maintain a police force. Two gruesome murders of children last month — a toddler decapitated, a 6-year-old stabbed in his sleep — served as reminders of this city’s reputation as the most dangerous in America. Others can be found along the blocks of row houses spray-painted “R.I.P.,” empty liquor bottles clustered on their porches in memorial to murder victims. 

The police acknowledge that they have all but ceded these streets to crime, with murders on track to break records this year. And now, in a desperate move to regain control, city officials are planning to disband the Police Department. 

 How do you regain control of areas of America that have been ceded over to Actual Black Run America (ABRA)? Through state-sanctioned force.

Life isn't any better in 90 percent black Detroit, where HW at OD a gang of black teenagers have taken hostage of a gas station. The police response? Police? What police? [Owner: Loitering teens taking over Detroit gas station, driving business away, My Fox Detroit, by Alexis Wiley, 9-26-2012]:

A Detroit man says his business is being held hostage by a group of teenagers who continually loiter inside and out of his gas station.

"There's a lot of good people around here," said the station owner, who wished to remain anonymous. But now, those good people aren't coming as often to the Marathon station along W. 7 Mile Road on the city's west side.

"This is a Bad Crew gas station," said one teen loitering out front on Tuesday. When asked what that meant, he said, "If you don't know, I can't even tell you."

Surveillance video obtained by FOX 2 shows as many as a dozen teens hanging out inside the store, smoking cigarettes, sitting on countertops and even spitting into sinks.

The owner says as many as 40 teens can be hanging out in front of the station at any time. "Destroying my store. Destroying my business," said the owner.

This is the true face of America in 2012. These stories, though they take place in geographically diverse regions of the country, tell the tale of what diversity (and the absence of whiteness) bring to a city.

Judge Dredd is just a spoof. The only way to make Camden, Detroit, and East St. Louis a part of civilization again, is to "modernize" the law; if not, all of America will eventually be ceded over to the type of gangs that make the aforementioned cities unlivable. Fox 2 News Headlines
